Meet Charmaine
The idea of decorating time through music, and decorating space through art has always fascinated me.
Several years ago, I dropped my 10-year pursuit of being a symphony violinist to instead pursue capturing life and love stories through photos. I left what was familiar and comfortable to chase what I knew filled my soul deeply.
A chance opened up to move to the Pacific Northwest to start anew, and once again, I left familiarity to pursue what my soul called me to do. Packed my bags, moved to Portland, and ended up immediately meeting the love of my life. That joy and celebration of my own love and marriage fuels my joy and celebration of others’ love!
My mission and values have always circled around taking care of others, being attentive to those on the fringes, being a safe place for those who need it, and be a source of light and love to all.
When I’m not running around capturing people’s stories on camera, I’m likely sipping French press coffee, jamming on a guitar or piano, playing video games, or bingeing anime!
My shooting style revolves a lot around my values. Whether I capture a couple, family, or an entire wedding day, it revolves around creating and capturing beautiful, unique and meaningful moments of connection between you, your partner, your families… even between us!
