A 23-year-old ardent freelancer located in Portland, Oregon from San Diego, California. My passion is to help others see and appreciate their lives in just a bit more of a beautiful light and angle.
Where it started
When I was twelve years old, I was out camping and saw the forest in front of me with the sun setting behind it, and I wanted so badly to document it just the way I saw it. I did the best I could with my 1-megapixel camcorder, and from then on I understood what photography does -- it captures time and moments.
As I continued pursuing my initial dreams from elementary to high school of being a professional classical violinist, I kept my passion for photography on the sidelines. It was something I always thought and read about in my free time. I photographed my own life, then I began doing head shots for aspiring student actors at my school, then small birthday parties (and I found joy in the quality time I got with clients) -- then I realized, if I pursued this full on, I could make this my career. And I could realistically see myself doing this for a living, much more than I ever could as a musician.
I declared myself a Photographic Arts Major in my first year of college, and have been growing myself as a freelance photographer since then -- and I haven't had an ounce of regret.
To make this gift and passion a career is a blessing and privilege. I give my craft to One who crafted me. I give my art to the One who made me into art.
